Kara attended Concordia University Ann Arbor where she received an athletic scholarship for both the Basketball and Volleyball programs from 2008-2009.

 

Kara later became a Certified Massage Therapist attending Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts in 2011.

 

Her first coaching experience started at Belding Middle School Volleyball at the age of 18 where she coached there for 4 years. She then transitioned into coaching AAU Volleyball in 2014-present for HIVE volleyball. Kara was the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Belding High School for 5 seasons (2018-2022) before coming to Montcalm Community College. She has coached all age levels and loves to be involved with the game and teaching our youth. She enjoys spreading her knowledge and love for the game. She values what sports can teach one,  with creating responsibilities, hard work, leadership, communication, dedication, and teamwork that young players can carry on throughout life.

 

Kara travels all over to play softball and volleyball competitively still and loves to be stay closely involved in the sports and loves the competitiveness. 

 

She currently resides in Sheridan with her two kids, Davey and Jade.
