Brownell Leads Centurions to New Program Record

The Montcalm Centurions wrapped up conference play on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Glen Oaks Community College invitational. The Centurions set a new program record with a team score of 308. Jerald Brownell recorded his season best score (75), followed by Ethan Johnson (77), Ryan Clingenpeel (78), Zach Johnson (78), and Lucas Hirkaway (112). 

 

The Invitational was comprised of 41 golfers and the Centurions competed against opponents from Grand Rapids Community College who finished first (301), Glen Oaks (321), Muskegon (321), Jackson (330), Schoolcraft (334) and Ancilla College (no team score). 

 

UP NEXT: The Centurions will conclude the 2024 season at the NJCAA Region XII Invitational on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14 at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, MI. The Centurions are not eligible to compete at the NJCAA DII National Championships due to being a new member to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
